This is who we are and a selection of the ways we work...

Who are the Dacorum Patients Group?

We are a group of local residents who are interested in the provision of health care in Dacorum, working to encourage ordinary people to make their views and concerns about the provision of health care known.

We are a voluntary and independent group who have an indepth understanding of how to present information to the NHS ensuring it is listened to - and acted on.  Members of our group represent patients on a number of NHS committees and have a strong track record in getting the patient's view heard.

What are we doing?

Gathering  views from patients

  • Meeting with patient groups around Dacorum including individual GP surgery patient groups and special interest groups.
  • Conducting surveys  on specific health issues

Is there a health or social services issue you would like to bring to our attention? Then please get in touch with us and we will respond and/or post relevant information on this website.

Influencing the provision of health care

  • Writing to MPs/councillors with the strength of a large group of patients behind each letter/comment
  • Writing to key personnel within the NHS
  • Working closely with the HVCCG patient representatives to the Board who have the opportunity to put forward patient views
